Little Mermaid Costumes – Buy Child’s Mermaid Costume

The flamboyant, disco-down 80′s costumes are still hot with retro fans. If you were fashion conscious during the 1980′s, you can’t help but remember these ultra flamboyant 80′s costumes which drove the disco scene. These costumes were definitely not for the shrinking violet type! Wearing one of the typical 80′s costumes required that you be willing to be noticed, wherever you might go. Fashionistas attending a disco vied with every other dancer to be the most outrageously dressed at the party.

Ladies have a selection of beautiful outfits and they can live out their fantasies to be Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora or Ariel by wearing the related costumes to each character such as little mermaid costumes for little girls to br like Ariel. They can also explore their dark side and be the Evil Queen, complete with a gown and cape, gold cord and sash and a gold crown. One of the most villainous characters available in an adult size Disney costume is Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. Not a costume for dog lovers! The black velvet dress is sleeveless and there is a Dalmatian print cape and fake Dalmatian fur. There is also a black and white wig for the finishing touch.

Every schoolboy wants to be a pirate and the Pirates of Caribbean series of movies brought out the swashbuckler in us all. The hero is Jack Sparrow, with a cutlass in his hand and a glint in his eye. The Men’s Jack Sparrow adult costume from Disney looks like the real deal with the headgear, tunic, trousers, boots and belt. Accessories are also available for the pirate, including a pistol, temporary eye tattoos, and simulated shrunken head and simulated chicken bones and foot suspended on a string. A pirate theme would go well with a house treasure hunt.

Large hats, decorated with feathers, large and brightly colored plastic flowers were also cool for some 80′s costume devotees. As for footwear, boots were large and in charge. Most often, knee highs were the boot of choice. The favored material was shiny, in-your-face patent leather. As with every other component of the 80′s costume, colors ranged from bright to brighter to day-glo. There was no subtly in these colors. Primary colors were essential to the right look. Think canary yellow, hot pink and fire engine red.

For the truly memorable adult costumes, you must make one yourself. If you have something in mind, you can search through thrift stores to find the pieces you need, and go to craft stores for most of the special effects you may be looking for. If you don’t like to sew and glue, go to a store that carries nothing but adult costumes, and mix and match a few different items.

I must recommend these as Christmas or birthday gifts. Buy your lady that special Dorothy adult costume. Think about her for a change. It comes with a short skirt and thigh highs. Or if you’re more interested in Little Bo Peep, that’s an option as well. Choose from a large variety, and surprise that lady in your life. And for the little girls child’s little mermaid costume  would be cool.
